The Washburn County Child Support Department helps parents and guardians establish paternity, locate absent parents, and manage child and medical support orders. It offers services to enforce, review, and modify support agreements while providing guidance on payment management and program applications. The department works to ensure financial and medical stability for children through effective support systems.

Services We Provide:

  • Terminating parental rights
  • Custody or placement (visitation) issues
  • Establish or enforcing maintenance support order
  • Filing a restraining order
  • Filing divorce papers

How do I pay child support?

Income withholding is the best way that most child support is collected, however, there are a few other options. Keep in mind these options do not replace income withholding, but are useful if you are in between jobs, want to pay extra, or you are self-employed. Whichever way works best for you, state law requires that ALL support must be paid through the Wisconsin Trust Fund.
