Update On Opening All County Highways To ATV/UTV Traffic

On November 12^th, 2025, the County Board approved a resolution to update the Washburn County ATV Ordinance to allow ATV/UTV traffic on all Washburn County Highways.  All County Highways currently not open to ATV/UTV traffic will remain closed until signs are installed.  Signs will be installed next spring prior to Memorial Day.  Opening of all roads only applies to County (Lettered) Highways.   The County Ordinance only covers the roads under the Highway Department’s jurisdiction and makes no changes to Town, City, Village, or State roadways within Washburn County.
